Deadly crash on Highway 103

A person has been killed after a two-car collision on Highway 103 near Exit 6 Saturday morning.

Lunenburg County RCMP say they were called to the scene at 10:45 a.m. Emergency Health Services, Hubbards Fire Department and Life Flight were called to the scene. Traffic from Halifax to Hubbards, at times, was reduced to one lane, causing major traffic congestion for about five kilometers. RCMP warn to expect delays as the highway will be closed for some time, and suggest using Highway 3 as an alternate route.

RCMP and a traffic analyst are investigating.
