Some relief at the gas pump

A bigger than expected drop in the price of gasoline in Nova Scotia.

The UARB used it’s weekly adjustment to lower regulated prices by 2.7 cents a litre to a new price of 137.1.

The news is not as good in the diesel fuel market, the price per litre jumped overnight by 5.4 cents a litre to 131.8.

Last year, the price at the pump was set at 126.7, diesel fuel was selling at 126.4.

One year ago oil was trading at $89.39 U.S. a barrel…over $16 less than yesterday’s closing price of $105.49.
