Speculation election call right around the corner

With the province doling out more than $13 million in funding announcements in the last week, a lot of Nova Scotians are speculating an election call could be coming sooner than we think.
Recent funding announcements have covered a number of special interest groups from additional money for seniors to berry farmers.
The premier says he’ll call an election when the time is right.
Darrell Dexter told reporters Tuesday, the NDP government will continue to roll out new programming for the province.
“We had a big mess that we had to clean up, we got through that. We were able to get back to a balanced budget and because of that we are now able to look forward to the kinds of programming that will actually suit the needs of the people of Nova Scotia,” said Dexter.
Dexter said the NDP is doing what it intended to do when the party came to power in 2009.
He says Nova Scotians can expect another financial update in the coming weeks.
