Python slithers onto Bedford woman’s lawn

A Bedford woman had an unusual visitor in her yard, Tuesday night – a ball python measuring about a meter long found it’s way onto her property.
Halifax Regional Municipality’s animal control officers took the snake to Homeward Bound City Pound in Dartmouth, which usually takes in stray cats and dogs.
The pound says they begin preparing animals for adoption if they aren’t claimed by an owner within 72 hours.
They’ve already had some calls about adopting the ball python, which is a common breed for pet snakes.
