RCMP say a 17-year-old man is dead after a crash in Upper Kennetcook Sunday morning.
Sgt. Alain Leblanc says RCMP were called to the scene of the single vehicle crash at 11:09 a.m.
“It appears he lost control of the vehicle,” explained Leblanc. “He left the road, hit a culvert, and then landed in the front lawn of a residence.”
The driver from Maitland was pronounced dead at the scene.
“We believe it was raining at the time, but we’re still unsure,” added Leblanc.
A portion of the highway was closed for about four hours. Leblanc says contrary to popular belief, there are more accidents on roads and highways in Nova Scotia during the summer than winter.
