Tantallon RCMP bust car packed with pot plants

Tantallon RCMP pulled over a car Sunday night that was packed so tightly with marijuana plants, a passenger was relegated to the trunk to make room for the contraband.
Officers stopped the suspicious vehicle, which was driving without its headlights on, on Prospect Road just after 10 p.m.
They found more than 20 marijuana plants crammed inside the Toyota Corolla, taking up both the front and rear seats.
A 23-year-old man from Brookside and a 24-year-old from Hatchet Lake are each facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Cultivation under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
They are set to appear in a Halifax Provincial Court on Oct. 30 to enter a plea.
