NDP worker fired over controversial email about Liberal candidate

Education Minister Ramona Jennex has fired one of her campaign workers after an email stirred up controversy between the New Democrats and Liberals in Nova Scotia.

NDP worker Nathaniel Cole allegedly sent an email to Acadia Pride, calling Kings-South Liberal Candidate Keith Irving an ‘outspoken homophobe’.

The Liberal party issued a release on this early Tuesday afternoon, asking for a full explanation and apology.
