Drouin returns to Halifax

The Halifax Mooseheads are adding some major fire-power to their lineup.
Reigning Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Most Valuable Player Jonathan Drouin was reassigned to Halifax by the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday.
The third overall pick in June’s NHL Entry Draft will immediately help out a Mooseheads team that has struggled on offense to begin the season.
The “Herd” have scored just 16 goals in seven games this season and have a record of 3-and-4.
Halifax General Manager Cam Russell says he expects to have Drouin in the lineup against the Sea Dogs tomorrow in Saint John.
“As long as he’s healthy and he’s ready to go, he’ll be playing on Tuesday night.”
Russell says he received a phone call from Lightning GM Steve Yzerman just before noon on Sunday.
“We had a good, long chat about what they wanted to see Jonathan improve on, and at the end of the day it’s an 18-year-old kid trying to step into the NHL – it doesn’t matter what your skill level is, it’s a big step.”
Halifax faces Saint John Tuesday night at 7 p.m. on News 95.7.
