Halifax writer publishes her first Harlequin novel

A Halifax-born writer has just published her first Harlequin novel after winning last year’s “So You Think You Can Write” competition.

Jennifer Hayward’s novel “The Divorce Party” hit shelves this month. The University of Kings College grad explains the premise:

“It’s inspired by a real story of a Manhattan billionaire who threw a million dollar divorce party to celebrate the end of his three-year marriage,” explained Hayward.

Hayward has now been offered a four book deal.

“I was so thrilled when I won the competition, it was only suppose to be for a one book deal. They offered me a two book deal, followed by the four book deal.”

Her second book will come out in February and the third in May.
