Police look for man who smashed glass at downtown bank

Police are asking for help identifying a man caught on video breaking into a downtown Halifax bank.

On October 17, at 1:45 a.m., police responded to a call at the RBC Bank at 5161 George Street.

A witness reported that the glass partition separating the ATM and the bank was broken. Officers looked at the surveillance video saw a man breaking the partition and entering the bank before leaving the same way.

Police are releasing pictures of the suspect and ask for the public’s help to identify him. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark jacket, dark jeans, sneakers with white soles, and he was carrying a black backpack with white trim.
