Police investigating suspected arson

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a suspected arson last night.

Officers were called to an auto repair business in the 23-hundred block of Maynard Street just before 10 p.m. where a vehicle was on fire.

Investigators believe the van was deliberately set ablaze. Damage to the vehicle was severe, while there was minor fire damage to the building the vehicle was parked next to.

Police have seized the van for further examination.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
