A blaze in Stewiacke last night hit the community’s Home Hardware complex for the second time this year.
Firefighters from at least eight different fire departments responded to the blaze around 10:30 p.m. and found a commercial warehouse fully involved.
Reports indicate it was the Home Hardware warehouse building, adjacent to the hardware store.
A cabinet shop on the same property was destroyed by fire in January.
Last night’s fire is the third large commercial building fire to hit the community this year.
In August, a heavy machine shop – BJ Electric Motor and Control Ltd. – was levelled by fire and explosions that forced the evacuation of several homes.
