Gas prices expected to dip again at midnight

Another small drop in the price of gasoline is on the way.
Our newsroom is predicting that when regulated prices are reset at midnight they’ll fall by about a penny a litre.
George Murphy of Consumers For Fair Gas Prices tells News 95.7, market conditions show room for an even bigger drop this week, but a decline in the value of the Canadian dollar is weighing in.
Murphy says supply is out-stripping demand across the markets and if it weren’t for the slipping Canadian dollar, the drop this week could have been more.
“We’re just not seeing demand for gasoline picking up. It still remains slack, so it’s a hopeful sign really that prices will be down,” said Murphy.
Across the border in New Brunswick, the regulated maximum price for a litre of regular self-serve fell by 1.3 cents a litre to $125.6.
