Changes are brewing for u-brews and u-vints

Legislative changes are being brewed up when it comes to U-brews and U-vints but it’s unclear yet if the bill will be tabled this fall.
Finance Minister Diana Whalen said the department is moving ahead to bring about the proper regulations.
Wine Kitz owner Ross Harrington said Whalen has been a big supporter of the changes.
He said he doesn’t have any doubt that she will get this piece of legislation through Province House.
“When she was in opposition she would introduce a bill every sitting of the legislature to make it lawful,” said Harrington, “She has been my champion so I can not imagine on god’s green earth that would change.”
Back in January, the NDP promised to update the Liquor Control Act.
He said he hopes him and members of the industry can be apart of the discussion around the changes.
