A larger than expected jump at the pump

The price of gas is up in Nova Scotia this morning.

The UARB used its weekly adjustment to move the price per litre up by 2.8 cents a litre to a new minimum price of $129.5.

The price for diesel fuel is also up this morning.  Prices shot up by 2.1 cents a litre at midnight to $133.9.

Last year, drivers were paying $1.27 for gasoline and $1.33 for diesel.

Oil was trading at $93.76 U.S. a barrel, almost $1.50 less than yesterday’s closing price of $95.17.
