Gas prices up this week

For the second week in a row, the price of regular gas has gone up 2.1 cents a litre.

It was a bigger than expected jump and means most stations in metro are selling at the new minimum of $131.6.

Diesel saw an even bigger jump, it is up 5.3 cents a litre from last week and is now selling for $139.2.

Both are way more than we were paying 12 months ago.

A year ago we were paying $124.4 for a litre of regular and $131.6 for diesel.

A barrel of oil was selling for $88.07 a barrel, less than yesterdays close of $92.32.
