Alderney Ferry Terminal revonvations begin today

Upgrades to the Alderney Ferry Terminal begin today, and while service won’t be affected, it could make embarking and disembarking from the ferry a bit more of a challenge.

HRM spokesperson Janet Bryson told News 95.7 the current passenger waiting area will be closed for 16-weeks during the work.

“There will be another area set up there for passengers to get on and off the ferries.  It’s near the bottom of the escalators and staff will be on site to direct passengers,” explained Bryson.

The upgrades are expected to improve traffic flow and increase the attractiveness of the terminal, with new washrooms, a new main entrance, new lighting and display cabinets.
