Another sloppy morning in HRM

It’s another sloppy morning in the municipality, an layer of slush covered roads early this morning as freezing rain came down.

While the rest of the province will continue to see freezing rain and snow, meteorologist Richard Zurawski told News 95.7 he’s optimistic the temperature will stay at around 2 degrees and we’ll just see rain.

“It’s too close to call really.  I’m prepared for just about anything out there but I would say we’d probably wind up with a couple of hours of freezing rain which means that things will be slippery and then it will switch over to rain,” explained Zurawski.

When it stops this afternoon, according to Zurawski, we could see that fireball in the sky we orbit for a bit,
but it will be gone again tomorrow as more rain is on the way.

The silver lining is we’re heading into what’s supposed to be a beautiful weekend.
