Saunders autopsy expected in next few days

An autopsy is expected to be done over the next few days on the body of 26-year-old Loretta Saunders.
Her body was discovered Wednesday in the median of Route 2 of the Trans-Canada Highway, west of Salisbury, New Brunswick, roughly two weeks after the SMU student was reported missing.
Police are investigating this case as a homicide, but Halifax Regional Police spokesperson Pierre Bourdages told News 95.7 no charges have been laid yet, but they are know who the suspects are.
“Like any other charge, we cannot identify a suspect unless charges have been laid in court. These charges will be laid as soon as it is feasible, but I don’t have a time frame or a timeline as to when this will happen,” explained Bourdages.
25-year-old Blake Leggette and 28-year-old Victoria Henneberry were arrested in Harrow, Ontario and both have been charged with stealing Saunders’ car.
Victoria Henneberry, charged with possession of stolen goods, is due in provincial court in Halifax Friday for a bail hearing.
Henneberry’s lawyer says she just arrived in Nova Scotia from Ontario and needs more time to review the case.
“They have been questioned in the disappearance of Miss Saunders, and as soon as we can have more information released publicly it will be done,” said Bourdages.
Leggette is also scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing Friday.
Saunders, a 26-year-old student at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, had last been seen Feb. 13.
