The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is calling the Ivany Report a useless document.
The report, released last month, was designed to act as a rally call for the province to act now, or never, on the economy.
Atlantic Director of the CTF, Kevin Lacey, told The Rick Howe Show the report does nothing to address the problems that we face.
“The Ivany Report didn’t tackle any of these issues that are difficult,” said Lacey. “Instead, what it did was, it was a pep talk. We didn’t need a pep talk. There’s lots of people to give lots of good pep talks in this province. What we needed was substantive ideas on ways to move forward.”
Lacey says there is nothing in the report that can be implimented that will improve the economy, only new committees, ministers and other things that the province doesn’t need.
