Fire crews are battling a blaze in Lawrencetown that broke out shortly before 6a.m. this morning.
Division Commander Corey Beals tells News 95.7 a duplex on Lake Shore Drive Road, off Crowell Road, is completely engulfed in flames and crews are in a defensive position, dousing it with water.
One man was inside when the fire started. He’s been taken to hospital to be treated for what Beals believes to be smoke inhalation but his condition is unknown.
He says both homes are completely destroyed, but no other structures are at risk.
He adds it’s going to be a long operation and traffic in the area is being diverted.
