Two more car/pedestrian incidents over the weekend

Regional police have ticketed another driver in the city for hitting a pedestrian, and they are also investigating a reported hit-and-run.

Police say a 35-year-old woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries on Saturday after being struck by an 80-year-old woman in an unmarked crosswalk near Trillium Terrace and Bayview Road.

The driver in that incident has been charged for failing to yield to a pedestrian.

Police are also investigating a report from a woman saying she was bumped by a vehicle on Chain Lake Drive on Saturday while she was pushing a stroller.

She was treated for minor injuries and describes the vehicle as dark blue, with 4-doors.  The driver is described as a clean shaven man in his 40s with long dark hair.
