Maritimers spot second space fire ball in as many days

Goodness gracious, great balls of fire!
For the second night a row people have seen a bright streak of fire slashing through the Maritime sky, but meteorologist Richard Zurwaski assures us the gods aren’t angry and it’s not a sign of alien invasion.
In fact, we see hundreds of these kinds of events every day.
“To see it back to back with two separate events over two nights is unusual and it tells us we’re probably going through a little bit of dirt and basically these things are just rocks going through the earth’s atmosphere,” he explains. “On any given night if you look at the sky and you’re out in the country you will see streaks of light go through the atmosphere.”
Zurwaski explains most meteors are the size of pin heads but the larger rocks, called bollides, are about the size of tea kettles and are coming in at an angle that makes them burn slowly, giving them the long burning tails.
