Quick Response Unit releases info on Tuesday drug busts

The Halifax Police Quick Response Units are getting credit in a pair of drug arrests this week.
The East Unit searched an apartment on Crystal Dr. in Dartmouth on Tuesday night, seizing marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash. A 49-year-old Dartmouth man is charged with a single count of possession for trafficking.
Later that night, the Central Unit did a traffic stop at Isleville St. and Cabot St. in Halfiax.
The driver ran away but was caught.
Police say he was carrying drugs — cocaine, marijuana, hashish, pills — and money.
Terrell Nathan Melvin, 25, of Halifax is charged with three counts of possession for trafficking and four breaches of a court order. He was already wanted on charges of fleeing police and other breaches from an incident at the end of February.
