Two men are recovering after a stabbing inside the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility in Burnside.

Halifax police were called to the jail just after 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon to find a number of inmates involved in a fight.

Police believe the men were stabbed with improvised weapons.

A 39-year-old was taken to the Dartmouth General, and a 24-year-old was treated on-site.

The general investigation section has been called in to investigate and police say they anticipate a number of charges will be laid.
