Closures and cancellations continue as region cleans up

There are a number of closures and cancellations as the Maritimes continues to dig out from the storm of the season.

Check back often as this list will continue to be updated.

Education

Halifax Regional School Board schools closed (offices open at 11a.m.)
South Shore Regional School Board schools closed
Tri-County Regioncal School Board schools closed (work sites open at noon)
Annapolis Valley Regional School Board schools closed (work sites open at noon)
Chignecto-Central Regional School Board schools closed
Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board schools closed
Strait Regional School Board schools closed (support staff report at noon)
All CSAP schools closed
Halifax Christian Academy closed
Sandy Lake Academy closed
Nova Scotia Community College Annapolis Valley, Burridge, Cumberland, Kingstec, Pictou, Shelburne, Strait Area and Truro campuses closed. Akerley, Central Office, Lunenburg and Waterfront campuses open at 10a.m., classes resume at 10:30a.m. Marconi and Institute of Technology campuses classes resume at noon.
Acadia University delayed opening until 11:30a.m.
St. Francis Xavier University delayed opening until noon
Dalhousie University’s Truro campus closed until noon
All classes at the Dartmouth Learning Centre cancelled

Transportation

Maritime Bus service is running but there are some cancellations,

There are a number of delays and cancellations at Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Check ahead before going to the airport.
All ferry service around the province cancelled with the exception of the Little Narrows ferry which is back in service

Recreational Programs

Several HRM Recreation programs/services and the opening of centers may be delayed this morning as snow clearing operations continue. Residents are asked to contact their Recreation Centre for a further update.

Municipal
