Halifax MP under fire for listing 9/11 truther event on website

An NDP member of Parliament from Nova Scotia is coming under fire for allowing her website to publicize a speech given by a 9/11 conspiracy theorist.
Megan Leslie’s events page includes a listing for San Francisco architect Richard Gage’s presentation March 31st in Halifax.
Gage founded a group that believes a controlled demolition felled the World Trade Center towers on September 11th, 2001, not the hijacked airliners that struck the buildings.
Tory MP James Bezan is accusing Leslie of championing Gage’s cause, but Leslie says the website is a community service, and she doesn’t restrict the content unless it’s illegal or hateful.
In a tweet, Leslie pointed out the events page of her website carries a disclaimer, it says, “Please note that this events page is a tool for local groups and organizations to promote community events. The topics of events listed do not necessarily reflect the views or position of the Member of Parliament or the New Democratic Party of Canada.”
