Councillor calls for Cape Breton cleanup

DOMINION, N.S. – A municipal councillor in Cape Breton says there’s a serious problem with litter in his district.
Darren Bruckschwaiger says he’s hoping the people in his district, which includes Dominion and Glace Bay, will come together to clean up the mess.
He says he’s organizing community cleanups because the garbage problem is out of control.
Bruckschwaiger says he hopes to have the cleanup organized for May 10, but the details are still being worked out.
He says he’s heard some people have already become involved and some have started cleaning up Dominion beach.
