Second-degree murder charge withdrawn in Philip Boudreau murder case

PORT HAWKESBURY, N.S. – A charge of second-degree murder has been withdrawn in the case of one of four people charged in the disappearance and death of a Cape Breton fisherman.
Craig Claude Landry of Petit-de-Grat, N.S., is now charged with being an accessory after the fact in the death of 43-year-old Phillip Boudreau.
The change was made today in Port Hawkesbury provincial court.
Boudreau, also of Petit-de-Grat, was last seen in June 2013.
His empty, overturned boat was found in Petit-de-Grat harbour the same day he disappeared.
Boudreau’s body has yet be found.
