HRM says it’s making progress on potholes

The city says it’s making progress on pothole patching.
HRM says crews are out all day, all week, weather permitting, filling the holes on a priority basis.
They’ll keep at it through the spring and summer, and contracted crews will join the effort in the coming weeks.
The city says this past winter was particularly bad because of the repeated freeze-thaw cycles and the busy season for snowplows, which tend to tear up the crumbling asphalt and temporary patches.
There are more than 17-hundred potholes on the to-do list.
