Pollster says Convention Centre support is strong

A local polling company says the majority of people it surveyed support the development of the new downtown convention centre.

Corporate Research Associates say six in ten HRM residents either completely or mostly support the development.

One third either mostly or completely oppose it.

“Despite recent comments to the contrary,” said Don Mills, Chairman & CEO of Corporate Research Associates, “the majority of residents continue to support the development of the new convention centre by a two-to-one margin.”

CRA says support is consistent across the region.

The company sampled 377 people.
