Gas prices drop more than expected

A bigger than expected drop at the pump should put a smile on your face this morning.

The price of regular self-serve dropped 3 cents a litre overnight to a new minimum of $142.6

Diesel also saw a sizeable decrease, with a litre going for $135.0, which is down 5.1 cents a litre.

On this day last year, we were paying $124.7 a litre for regular gas and $121.9 for diesel.

Oil as trading at $93.99 U.S a barrel, it closed at $99.42 yesterday.
