Relief is on its way at the gasoline pump.
Our newsroom has gone over the numbers and we are predicting a drop at midnight tonight by about 2 cents a litre.
George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices told News 95.7 that a consumer revolt of sorts is behind the recent declines.
“As soon you’re dissatisfied with the price and as soon as you get the word out about the price and as soon as the media starts talking about the price, speculators start pulling their bucks out,” said Murphy.
Across the border in New Brunswick, the maximum price for a litre of regular self-serve fell by 4.3 cents to $138.0.
