Gas prices expected to rise at midnight

Our newsroom is predicting when prices are adjusted tonight they will increase by about 2 cents a litre.

George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices told News 95.7 a drop in oil refining capacity is behind this week’s increase.

“Most of that is motivated by the price of crude oil rising,” said Murphy.

Regulated gas prices are up in New Brunswick this morning.  The increase of 1.7 cents a litre moves the maximum price up to $137.8.
