Search continues for missing cyclist

The search for Marty Leger continues, as more help is called in to look for the missing mountain biker.
Thirty-year-old Leger has been missing since last Thursday, after he went on a solo bike ride in the Spider Lake area off of Waverley Rd.
The search for Leger has grown to include people from all over the Maritimes, as well as the Canadian Forces.
RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae told News 95.7 members of the Canadian military were called in this morning to help look for Legere.
“The RCMP put an ask out to the Canadian Forces for some additional military resources,” he said. “The military has come through, and they are on the ground this morning to help in the search.”
MacRae says more than 60 to 80 kilometres of ground has yet to be covered.
“There’s still a lot of area, it’s very difficult terrain,” he said.
Police said Leger’s family is very thankful for everyone’s search efforts, and they are remaining hopeful their loved one will be found.
“The family just continues to hold hope that these hard workers can find their loved one, Mr. Marty Leger.”
Leger went biking on Thursday afternoon and was due back a few hours later. The search for him began later that evening.
He is described as white, about 6 feet tall and 260 pounds, with short hair, a beard and a moustache.
