Gas prices are expected to be on their way up again.
Our newsroom has crunched the numbers and we are predicting an increase of about 2 cents a litre at midnight.
George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices told News 95.7 the situation in Iraq being watched closely.
“If these militants end up entering Baghdad, number one, that would be the first step because you’re liable to see a collapse of government altogether,” explained Murphy. “The second step would be if you see these militants happen to attack any facilities that would be in the immediate southeast, closest to the Persian Gulf in the Basra area.”
Prices are up today across the border in New Brunswick, where the regular has moved the price per litre up by 2.5 cents a litre to $138.7.
