The developers of the Bloomfield site in the north-end of Halifax now have a number of ideas from the public as they start to finalize plans for the site.
The mixed-use development will turn the school site into affordable housing combined with commercial, retail, and community space.
People at the meeting yesterday wanted to ensure the retail space would be devoted to local business, would embrace the arts, and would ensure the living space remained affordable to all.
The 80 people at the meeting also wanted the developers to ensure the site remained representative of the neighbourhood and highlighted the history of the area.
