Arthur expected to bring wet weather this weekend

Some wet weather is coming our way this weekend.

Tropical Storm Arthur is heading up the east coast and forecasters say it will turn into a hurricane over the next day or so.

Meteorologist Richard Zurawski told News 95.7 Arthur is going to merge with a low pressure system that is moving over the Great Lakes and that will guide the storm over the next few days.

“At some time around Saturday, we’re looking at this low pressure system merging with the hurricane coming up the Eastern Seaboard,” said Zurawski.  “It’s going to make a fairly large impact on the Maritime region, with a significant rain event as opposed to wind right now.”

Zurawski said it’s still too early to say if the storm will have a direct impact on Nova Scotia, or if it will just a graze us as it moves south of the Maritimes.
