Police and animal control officers were called to the address on Colins Road in Bedford just before 9:30 a.m. Friday after they received a report of a snake slithering around the area.
A witness said the animal was as big as a person’s forearm.
Brendan Elliott, spokesperson for the municipality told News 95.7 when crews arrive, they found no sign of the serpent.
“There’s not even a confirmation of what kind of snake it could have been,” said Elliott. “If anyone sees a snake, please give 311 a call and we’ll come out and do what we can to resolve the situation.”
Elliott said until the animal is spotted again there’s not much they can do, but all lost and found animals can be reported to 311.
