Nova Centre court case to move forward

A court case over the Nova Centre will proceed.

Three companies owned by the Thiel family launched the challenge.

The group says by granting the Nova Centre planning exemptions, the province broke its own rules and handed the developer of the new convention centre a competitive advantage over them.

According to the Chronicle Herald, the province moved to have the litigation dismissed, but yesterday Justice Jamie Campbell ruled that the case can move forward.

A hearing on the matter has been scheduled for November 27th.
