Fifteen people remain out of their homes after a fire destroyed a commercial building on Portland Place nine days ago.
The residents have not been allowed back to their townhouses behind the fire site because of a wall that officials fear could collapse onto their homes.
David Ballum-Hafka told The Chronicle Herald residents were allowed in for short time on Sunday night, then again yesterday, but may not be able to fully return until the weekend.
The investigation into the September 14th fire has been turned over to Halifax Regional Police and the cause is considered to be suspicious in nature.
