Downward trend at the gas pump expected to continue

After two weeks of steady prices there is a drop in the price of gasoline on the horizon.

Our newsroom is predicting that when prices are adjusted at midnight they will fall by about 2 cents a litre.

George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices told News 95.7, market indicators continue to show lower prices for the near future.

“There’s some money due to come to consumers down the road, between now and 30-45 day from now,” said Murphy. “Until market conditions change, you’re still owed money.”

Across the border in New Brunswick, regulated prices fell by 2.9 cents a litre to a new maximum price of $121.4.
