Police are investigating threats made by mail to Nova Scotia energy minister Andrew Younger on Monday.
Younger’s media relations advisor, Kyla Friel wrote in an email to News 95.7 that “two pieces of mail addressed and delivered to Minister Younger at his office at the Department of Energy contained threats of concern to local police.”
She said Younger wasn’t able to speak about the threats, and she could offer no more detail, referring any questions to Halifax Regional Police.
Constable Diane Woodworth with Halifax Regional Police told News 95.7 police are investigating threats received by someone on Hollis Street, but she could not confirm the identity of the alleged target.
