Police are looking for a man who tried to rob a Dartmouth convenience store.

They say he entered the Highfield Video and Variety just before 11 p.m., flashed a knife and demanded cash.

He left empty handed, fleeing east on Joseph Young Avenue.

The clerk wasn’t hurt.

Police are now looking for a white man with dark hair and brown eyes. He was wearing dark clothes, had a scarf pulled up over his nose and a hood pulled down over his eyes.
