Henry’s camera stores targeted in break-ins

Regional police have two people in custody after a pair of break-ins at Henry’s camera stores.

The first happened just after 10 last night at the store in Bayer’s Lake, where police say two people smashed the front door of the building and stole a “large quantity of cameras.”

Just over an hour later, police received a call from the other Henry’s in Dartmouth Crossing, where they say a man and a woman used a truck to pull the front doors off the store and stole more cameras.

Just before midnight an officer spotted the suspect vehicle outside a hotel near the airport.

They then tracked the suspects to the Truro area, where a 30-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman from Edmonton were arrested without incident.

The stolen cameras were also recovered.

Police say the investigation continues and charges are expected.
