Big jump in diesel prices

There’s no change in the price of gas overnight, it’s still selling for just under a dollar a litre at 99.8.

The same cannot be said for diesel, it’s up 6.9 cents this morning and is now selling for 112.2 a litre.

One year ago drivers were paying 1.33 for gas, and 1.47 for diesel.

Oil was trading at $97.62 U.S. per barrel, about $46 more than yesterday’s closing price.

Earlier this week the UARB used its interrupter clause to raise the price of gas by 6.4 cents a litre, however diesel prices weren’t affected at the time.
