It has been a chaotic few days for commuters all across the region, and today, the aftermath of the weekend’s wild weather will continue to cause disruptions in your day.
Halifax will continue to enforce the winter parking ban overnight into Wednesday.
News 95.7’s meteorologist Richard Zurawski said here in Halifax we are left with the icy leftovers of about 30 centimetres of snow and 20 millimetres of rain.
“So the ice is a big issue, and it looks like the temperature’s going to stay well below normal for the next few days,” he said. “So no respite in the immediate future, although by the time we get to the weekend, things will start to warm up a bit.”
Zurawski said we can expect a few flurries this weekend, but other than that, our future is looking fairly calm and cold.
“A weak low-pressure system is going south of us so we will pick up a little bit in the way of snow, probably just about five centimetres, but more insult to injury really.”
