The Halifax Mooseheads were defeated by the Victoriaville Tigres on Thursday night in a shootout at Scotiabank Centre with a final score of 4-3.
Halifax forward Timo Meier opened up the scoring just 12 seconds after faceoff, bringing his points streak up to 25 games. He would score again later in the period, assisted by Nikolaj Ehlers.
Ehlers’ assist brought his points streak up to 31 games – a new record for the Mooseheads franchise. He broke the 29-game record previously held by Jonathan Drouin on Tuesday night against Moncton.
The Mooseheads will be back in action on Saturday, February 21 as they travel to Charlottetown to take on the Islanders.
