Interrupter clause used for diesel

For the second time this month, the UARB has used the interrupter clause, this time to raise the price of diesel.

Fuel prices shot up 7.1 cents at midnight moving the minimum price up to 127.9.

The UARB said they were forced to trigger the clause because of what they call a significant shift in market prices.

There was no change in the price of gasoline overnight, it remains at 103.7.

The provincial regulator will adjust prices again at midnight Friday morning.
