The Halifax Mooseheads lost to the Rimouski Océanic on Sunday night with a final score of 5-4.
Forward Connor Moynihan picked up his seventh goal of the season for the Mooseheads early in the second period.
At the beginning of the third period, the Mooseheads were trailing 4-1.
Nikolaj Ehlers scored on a penalty shot after a tripping call on Rimouski’s Samuel Morin early in the third period.
Timo Meier picked up a power-play goal late in the third and Ryan Falkenham scored with just 32 seconds left to close the gap to 5-4.
The Mooseheads will be back at Scotiabank Centre on Wednesday, March 4.
